I've noticed that you can't install the directx8 engine files in win2k.. it
says something about not being compatible with the OS (or maybe i downloaded
the wrong thing).  However, if you install the directX8 SDK you get the
drivers 'n stuff and they work.  as far as i can tell.. although i only have
a voodoo 2 and they don't have dx8 drivers.. probably never will.

time to upgrade.

>From my understanding Win2000 has DirectX8 as part of the operating system,
there for you don't have to worry about it.
Alternatively you can go here http://www.microsoft.com/DirectX/ and download
the 8.0a.  It is the complete and latest version.
