	I agree with this.  Simplicity is the key.  After one project you
can start planning a little bigger.
	I recommend 2d, and also using something like SDL for
your graphics layer <http://www.devolution.com/~slouken/SDL/>.
	I recommend using different compilers as bugs can be brought to
light in different compilation environments.  SDL is cross platform almost
anyone can use it.
