[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] SourceForge for our project Site
Aloha
I have been a listener all this time !
Good to see some work being discussed !!
Why don't we use SourceForge to host
our project. It is a complete project
control system, with discussion boards,
updates etc etc. Please visit the
web site and check it out for yourself.

I have been programming for the last 7-8
years and am comfortable with c++ & windows
programming ( And VC++ :) ). Ofcourse i mostly
work on linux.
I'd agree that the game should be based on a
generic library. the library calls can then
be implemented in DX or OpenGL.
For Windows, i'd say DX is the best suited.
Apart from the fact that it is a gaming SDK
that has support for Direct Input ( Joystick
& stuff ), Multiplayer support etc, it is a
MS product running on a MS product(Win).
For linux OpenGL rocks. OpenGL with X makes
a good combo.
I'd be very happy to contribute to the project.
I have this small code that was to be the
first stage of my spacewar game in DX that
i didn't get around to develop further due
to college work. I'll post the code ( very
simple ) & the graphics on our project site
once that is decided.
Aloha
