Hi,

I totally agree with you, we shou8ld all put our minds and skills topether and make a few games between us. I am already doing this and masy find working on two games at once a challenge, but i enjoy challenges.

Subject: Something to talk about

Hi everybody !

I have been a listener for a long time. But when Paul Hope mentioned that this list is deteriorated i must only agree with him. When i first started this subscription there was always some new topic and solution posted.

I think we all need a different engagement. This list is for wannabe game programmers, i know. I am one of them.

What i am suggesting we are todo is combine our knowledge and begin create a game or several games together. As i understand there is some pretty good programmers out there, and there is some that has newer seen a compiler. I myself has tried to make something out of c++ and have no more luch than a "hello world exampel"

You out there could teach us lesser fortunate programmers to start developing our own simpel games.

My first question : What shall i develop my game for OpenGL or DirectX ?

Second question : Is there any GOOD tutors or learn it your self code?
(I know NeHe production has made som good OpenGL tutorials: http://nehe.gamedev.net/ )

Third question : Is there any site like NeHe but for DirectX ???

Forth question : Am I confusing ?

Fifth question : Is there a way to use DirectX SDK in a standard compiler like Bloodshed C++ (freeware) ?
(I only saw how ti impliment it in Visual C++, how microcrap tries to bind you to their products)

Sixth question : Almost as fifth, is there a way to use OpenGl in above mentioned compiler ?

Well, i think i am out of silly question now. Don't think i am a nerd and total loser because of my question.
I am a nerd and loser, but there is no need to brag about it :)

All i want to know how to program game with the lowest budget possibel. No need to buy expencive books
and software. I already have Windows gameprogramming for Dummies and I don't understand it all :)
