[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Re: Graphics (simple)
When I started getting serious about game programming about a year ago I know nothing about graphics programming. I looked on amazon.com and found a book that taught graphics for games and a few other thing that had high reviews and got it. Before that I tried a few online tutorials and they didn't help much. Once I got the book, I worked on my game with extremely simple graphics until I had a playable version, then moved to directX drawing pixels and then to DirectX drawing images and eventually threw in some animations. The book I used was Tricks of the Windows Game Programming Gurus by Andre Lamothe. This is what worked for me, it's been a year since I started but I now feel that the only thing holding me back is time, not skills or knowledge.
