I would suggest learning networking first. Grab a good book on Socket Programming, if you are programming with Windows; Nassers's book Winsock 2.0 is a great place to start. You should download the Winsock2 Developers Kit from Microsoft's WebSite (I don't know where it is) Once you have a handle on basic socket programming, you can better use DirectPlay. Rob.
