The 'L' is just letting the compiler know that 0 is a long value. (fseek
uses a long value as its second parameter). That way it stores 32 bits of 0
in the executable so it doesn't have to do any conversions.
The parameter itself is an offset from the location pointed to by the third
parameter. use 0 at the end of the file because i'm sure you don't want to
read (or write for that matter) past the end of the file.
