Kev Thanks for the reply. I think that Abrash's book is probably to out of date. I believe I have the other book you refered to but it was of no help on this matter. Do you have any other suggestions (articles, mailing lists, friendly experts email address). Thanks again. I know this is a run-of-the-mill question.
