Re:Start of game-how-to stuff:...

I would just like to say that I really enjoyed reading the first of what I hope to be many installments of the How-To postings.  I have a degree in computer info systems.  The university that I attended did not cover many of the advanced techniques of programming, nor did they even begin to approach the topics of graphic, sound, or input(other than file or keyboard).  I have been interested in game programming since I was about 10years of age, and even wrote a crude game on the Apple IIe for class in eigth grade.  It was in BASIC, or BASICA. I can't remember.  Anyway, I just want to let Ender know that I felt that the how-to was written on a even level.
 
Enough of my rambling.  Thanks to all for your patience to those of us who are new to the arena.
