RE: GP: 3D DOS PROGRAMING

Hello,

Andre LaMothe's new book on game programming and 3D graphics
should be coming out later this month. I've read most of his old book,
"The Black Art of 3D Game Programming," which was one of the best
tutorials I've ever read on game programming and 3D graphics in DOS. This
new book of his, Tricks of the Windows Game Programming Gurus, basically
looks a lot like a new version of his Black Art book, updated for DirectX
and things like that. It would probably be a great resource to get you
started.

Amazon.com's link for the book can be found at:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0672313618/o/qid=936318218/sr=8-1/002-1851026-3549216

Also, if you're looking for a good entry-level book on Windows
game programming (I've got a feeling the new Tricks book will be for
intermediate/advanced programmers), try checking out LaMothe's Dummies
Guide to Windows Game Programming, I've heard it's very good too. Good
luck!
